Standing seam metal roofing
Vertical panels with hidden clips, no exposed screws to back out. The longest lasting roof we install and the one we recommend for a home you plan to keep.

Standing seam and metal shingle roofs that outlast two asphalt roofs, installed by the same family crew that does our shingle work. Metal roof repair too. The inspection and the quote are free.
Three ways a metal roof shows up on a Triangle home, and what each one is for.
Vertical panels with hidden clips, no exposed screws to back out. The longest lasting roof we install and the one we recommend for a home you plan to keep.
The look of shingle or slate with the life of metal. A good fit on a house where a standing seam profile would look out of place on the street.
Lifted panels, backed out fasteners, failed ridge sealant and leaks at penetrations. Most repairs take a half day and come with photos of the fix.
We inspect the decking before anything goes on. Soft wood gets replaced first, because a 50 year roof over a 5 year deck is a 5 year roof.
Metal shrugs off most hail that would end a shingle roof. When a storm does mark it, we document it for the claim like any other roof.
A standing seam accent over a porch or bay is the most common metal job we do, and it pairs with a shingle main roof from our roof replacement service.
A standing seam metal roof costs about twice what an architectural shingle roof costs on the same house. It then lasts 40 to 70 years against 20 to 25, holds up to hail and wind far better, and reflects summer heat instead of soaking it up.
That does not make it right for every house. A home you plan to sell in five years rarely earns the metal premium back. A home you plan to grow old in usually does, because you skip the second roof entirely.
We install both, so we have no reason to steer you. Our roof lifespan guide has the material by material numbers if you want them before we talk.

We are GAF Certified, fully licensed and insured, and family owned by brothers David and James Lamartiniere. The office is on Western Boulevard in Raleigh, and the people who quote your roof are the people who install it.
More than 150 Triangle households have left us a five star review, and Forbes Home named us a Top Rated Roofing Contractor for 2024. Veterans get a discount on every job.
The inspection is free, the report is yours whatever you decide, and if the honest answer is that your shingle roof has another ten years in it, that is what we will say.

A standing seam metal roof lasts 40 to 70 years here, against 20 to 25 for asphalt shingles. The panels outlast the fasteners on screw down systems, which is why we favor standing seam with hidden clips for homes.
Not on a house with a solid roof deck and insulation under it, which is how we install them. The tin roof on a barn is loud because there is nothing under it but the barn.
Sometimes, over a single layer in good condition, with furring strips and the right underlayment. We inspect the deck first. If the shingles are hiding soft decking, the shingles come off, because a metal roof is a long time to live with a mistake.
Yes. Backed out fasteners, failed sealant at ridges and penetrations, and panels lifted by wind are the common ones. Most metal roof repairs are a half day.
Both, modestly. Reflective finishes cut summer cooling load, and several North Carolina insurers discount premiums for a Class 4 impact rated roof. Ask your carrier before you sign, and we will supply the product documentation they ask for.
We get on the roof, photograph what is actually there, and hand you a written report with a price. No charge, and no obligation to book the work with us. If the roof has years left in it, that is what the report will say.
Whether you need a roof replacement, roof repair, or annual inspection, we’ve got you covered.
