Measuring the roofline
Walk the house with a tape and add up every run that has a gutter on it now, or should have. Most Triangle homes come out between 150 and 250 feet. The number people usually miss is the garage return and anything over a porch.
Where this stops being reliable
Two-story runs cost more than single-story because of the staging. Downspouts are included at a normal spacing, so a house that needs extra drops for a long flat run will sit above the range. And fascia is the wildcard: if the wood behind the old gutter has gone, that is real carpentry before anything gets hung.

Gutter cost questions
How many linear feet of gutter does a house need?
Roughly the perimeter of the roofline, not the perimeter of the house. A typical Triangle home lands between 150 and 250 feet once you count the back, the garage return and any dormers. Measure along the eaves with a tape and round up.
Which gutter material is right for a Carolina house?
Seamless aluminum for almost everyone. It runs $6 to $16 a foot installed, lasts about twenty years, and does not rust. Copper is beautiful and lasts three times as long at three times the price. Vinyl is the one to avoid on a long run in our summers.
Are gutter guards worth adding?
Under pine, usually. Guards are published at $18.94 to $41.22 a foot installed depending on type, and they change cleaning from four times a year to about once. Under oaks the case is thinner.
Why is seamless more expensive than sectional?
It is rolled to length on site, so there are no joints along the run. Joints are where sectional gutters fail, and on a 40 foot back elevation that is the whole ballgame.
Does this include fascia repair?
No. Rotten fascia behind an old gutter is common and cannot be seen until the gutter comes off. It is charged per foot as found, and we show you the wood before we replace it.
How accurate is this?
It is a planning range built on our own published per-foot pricing. The real number moves with roof height, how many downspouts the run needs and whether the fascia is sound.
